The farm is home to several indigenous game species, including Gemsbok, Zebra, Rooi Hartebees, Vaal Reebok, and Springbok as well as smaller inhabitants, such as Karoo Dassies and wild Baboons. During the rainy season (June – September) much of the arid veld becomes wetland – and seasonal home to a variety of migrating birdlife.

The natural vegetation of the Karoo transitions depending on the season. The cold harsh winters to rain seasons closer to the Cape begin a diverse bio cycle for many of creatures and plants that co-habit this region.

Their survival hinges on a delicate balance that cannot be disturbed to preserve these micro-communities for generations to come.
